The wine-making culture of Rioja has its historical roots in the Middle Ages and the medieval monasteries. Bodegas Vinícola Real and its flagship brand 200 Monges are born from these ancestral precedents, being this brand a tribute to the history of Albelda de Iregua.
Vinícola Real is born with a vocation of being a small production winery specialized in high-quality wines from its own vineyards. It stands for a traditional viticulture model whose main aim is to obtain original and singular wines.
During the harvest, each bunch of grapes is extremely carefully collected in order to avoid the grapes to be broken. The final control is done in the selection table, where each bunch of grapes is selected one by one.
All the technical equipment of our wine-making facilities is adapted to a small high-quality production process .
